Discover Canyonlands National Park – Utah’s Wildest National Park

Intro:
Canyonlands National Park is a raw, rugged, and remote expanse of canyons, buttes, and mesas carved by the Colorado and Green Rivers. Covering over 330,000 acres, it’s divided into four districts: Island in the Sky, The Needles, The Maze, and the rivers themselves.

Geologic Features:
Millions of years of erosion have revealed a geologic puzzle made up of sandstone, limestone, and shale. Layers include Wingate Sandstone, Kayenta Formation, and Navajo Sandstone, among others.
